New Legislation to Help Domestic Violence, Stalking, and Sexual Assault Victims/Survivors Takes Effect in Maryland on October 1, 2016 Important legislation to help domestic violence and sexual assault victims/survivors, passed by the Maryland General Assembly in 2016, will take effect in Maryland on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
Conducted with domestic violence service providers, these results guide MNADV’s annual training plan and future projects. Both leadership and frontline workers provide input.
The nation’s leading anti-sexual assault and domestic violence organizations are among the 250 groups issuing the statement. The statement was initiated by the National Task Force to End Sexual and Domestic Violence Against Women.
The 24/7 National Domestic Violence Hotline is available to answer questions, provide crisis intervention and safety planning information, and directly connect callers to domestic violence resources available in their local calling area.
