11th Annual Census of DV Services Released

Twenty-two Maryland local domestic violence programs participated in the 24-hour survey, which documented the life-saving services offered by these programs as well as a significant number of unmet requests for help.

The Maryland Healthy Working Families Act would allow employees to earn up to 7 days of paid sick leave per year and specifically requires employers to allow survivors of domestic abuse or sexual assault to use paid sick leave to care for their health after these incidents or seek legal protections or new housing.
